外百鳥 — Oubaitori. A Japanese philosophy reminding us that each person, each venture, each vision finds its own unique path to flourishing.
Oubaitori Group was founded on 6 May 1999 — the very day Chairman Purna Bahadur Khatri welcomed his first son into the world. From that moment, a father's resolve crystallised into a purpose: to build something enduring for the next generation.
Purna Bahadur Khatri grew up in a traditional farming family in Baglung, Nepal — a hilly western district where hard work, land, and community were the foundations of life. He carried those values when he moved to Kathmandu and began laying the groundwork for what would become one of Nepal's most diversified enterprise groups.
Today — more than 25 years later — nine ventures across seven sectors form a unified ecosystem, guided by Chairman Purna Bahadur Khatri and led day-to-day by his son, Group CEO Pravin Khatri.
Meet Our ChairmanJapan became our second home — a nation whose values of monozukuri (craftsmanship) and kaizen (continuous improvement) resonated deeply with our own vision for Nepal.
Through PK Immigration, Active Abroad and Active Business, we have helped hundreds of Nepali professionals build lives in Japan while simultaneously bringing Japanese trade, hospitality standards and business practices back to Nepal.
This corridor is not just commercial — it is cultural, personal, and deeply committed to mutual flourishing on both sides.
Explore Japan ServicesNo two flowers bloom at the same time or in the same way. We honour the unique rhythm of each company, each market, and each individual we serve.
Each venture gets the space, capital and mentorship to grow at its own pace — no forced uniformity, no cookie-cutter templates.
While each company blooms independently, the roots connect — a student from Active Abroad may become a Pregasus client; a Protech worker may settle through PK Immigration.
Behind every visa, every software project, every farm plot — there is a family with hopes. We measure success by the lives we meaningfully improve.
Chairman · Visionary · Son of Baglung · Farmer's Legacy
"On the day my son was born, I knew I had to build something worthy of his future. From our family's land in Baglung to the corridors of the world — this group is that promise kept."
Purna Bahadur Khatri was born into a traditional farming family in Baglung, Nepal — a district in the western hills where generations of the Khatri family worked the land with discipline and dignity. From those humble origins, he pursued law studies — then, as many Nepali men of his generation did, he took up foreign employment, working for a foreign company abroad to build his savings and finance his ambitions.
That resolve took him to Japan, where he opened his eyes to the wider world of commerce and international business. The experience shaped his vision: to build something that bridged Nepal and the world — something worthy of the next generation. On 6 May 1999, the day his first son Pravin was born, that vision crystallised into a founding pledge. Oubaitori Group was born.
From the first ventures in organic agriculture and food supply in the 2000s — and the group's first Japan-corridor venture, Mahalaxmi Remittance Japan (2008) — through construction, hospitality, immigration, technology and real estate, Purna Bahadur Khatri built a nine-company ecosystem over 26 years. He serves as Chairman, providing strategic direction and institutional wisdom, while his son Pravin leads day-to-day operations as Group CEO.
Group CEO · Operations Manager, B.P.O. Agency · Japan Trade Specialist · Nepal–Japan Bridge Builder
"My father built the foundation on the day I was born. My purpose is to honour that foundation — and build higher, further, and for more people than he ever imagined possible."
Born on 6 May 1999 — the same day his father Purna Bahadur Khatri founded Oubaitori Group — Pravin joined the family business in 2017 after completing his School Leaving Certificate (SLC). He stepped in not as an heir sitting back, but as an active contributor — learning the group's operations from the ground up.
In 2020, Pravin co-founded Pregasus Enterprises — the group's technology and BPO arm — bringing the energy of a new generation to the group's portfolio. Alongside his role as Group CEO, he serves as Operations Manager at B.P.O. Agency — overseeing day-to-day operations, cross-group back-office delivery, and client coordination. A communicator across Nepali, Hindi, English and conversational Japanese, he leads the group's Japan corridor strategy and oversees all nine operating companies.
